  2. What is a Aqua Satellite ? • A Aqua Satellite is an multi-nation NASA scientific research satellite in orbit around the Earth studying the precipitation ,evaporation and the cycle of water.

  3. Thank You For Listening

  4. When was it launched? • The Aqua Satellite was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base on May 4 2002 aboard a Delta II rocket.

  5. The weight of a aqua satellite • The Aqua spacecraft has a mass of about 2,850 kilograms (6,300 lb). At launch when it propelles to about 230kilograms (510lb) .

  6. Aqua’s six instruments for studies of water on the Earth’s surface and in the atmosphere: • AMSR-E: It consists of a Mircowave scanning Radiometer measuring cloud properties , sea surface temperature, near surface wind speed, radiative energy flux, surface water, ice and snow.

  7. MODIS • A Modis consists of a Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer, measuring cloud properties and radiative energy flux, also aerosol  properties; land cover and land use change, fires and volcanos.

  8. AMSU-A • A Amsu-a consistes of a Microwave Sounding Unit measuring atmospheric temperature and humidity.

  9. AIRS • Airs consists of a Atmospheric Infrared Sounder  measuring atmospheric temperature and humidity, also land and sea surface temperatures.

  10. HSB • The HSB is a Hummidity sounder for Brazil.

  11. CERES • Ceres consits of a Cloud and the Earth's Radiant Energy System .
