Why would I want to use GP Job Cost instead of Project Accounting? • Easy to setup • Provides Job by Job summary of revenue & costs • Provides drill down on individual job-related transactions • Margin analysis available in both Inquiry & Report format • Ideal for tracking simple Customer or Internal projects

  4. Why would I not want to use GP Job Cost instead of Project Accounting? • No ability to perform billing based on costs expended, milestones, etc. as PA does • Doesn’t provide the robust reporting that PA does • No ability to attach Payroll or Employee Expense costs • There is no formal ‘Project Close’ process to ensure that all revenue and cost elements are included
