  3. Seatbelt RPPA application retirement 1995 RPPA SBS application consists of programs (on app server), and database with report writer (on database server). 1998 Other Oracle Forms applications slated for retirement: QA400 / TIS / TIR

  4. Why Windchill? • Windchill has part release data and Cost requests will link to the part master • Windchill has built in workflow features and the RPPA process depends on routing • Earlier Windchill pilots allowed this version to be built with minimal expense.

  7. To create a new Cost Information request.Log into Windchill and select PCS ->Create PCS Cost Information Request.

  8. Complete the Windchill CIR Header information – top of page Fields with ‘*’ arerequired.

  9. The rest of the CIR header page contains the team, attachments and parts list You may Update the team data from this link or from the ‘Submit CIR’ task on your worklist (see slide # 16)

  10. Requests may be initiated and forwarded to engineer to add parts. The engineer will receive an ‘Additional Creators’ task

  11. From CIR header click Add Plan Part to display the page below.

  12. Default data displays – add description and press ‘Finish’

  13. The part is added to the CIR header. You must ‘Update part detail to add drawing.

  14. CPV must be manually validated by the engineer. Commodity determines which buyer receives the request. (click in box for pop-up list) This section may be used to expand on volume details.

  15. Add drawing and any other attachments at the bottom of each part detail page. If plant response is required, add Plant routing. Press OK to save changes.

  16. Once data is complete, click ‘Submit All’ to start workflow.

  17. Or you may submit the CIR from your Windchill worklist.

  18. The links on the right of the header page display history, printable versions, plus optional tooling recovery status.

  19. When all responses are received, and the cost analyst attaches the financial summary, the requester receives a task to review and accept.

  20. Roll out date will be announced as soon as buyer training is complete. (targeting late September.) • Once the new system is launched, the old Seatbelt RPPA system will no longer accept new requests. • To report technical problems with PCS, call ext. 3000 or email the NASC. Be sure to mention Windchill PCS and include the error message or a screen shot of the problem. • For questions about how and when to use PCS, please contact your cost analyst.
