  3. Royal S. Copeland • Was served as the primary author and sponsor of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938. • This act is one of the most important right laws then and still today. • Three-term U.S. Senator of New York

  4. Cosmetics As in “cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance.” Because of this manufacturers got to use ingredients and raw materials and didn’t need to get approval by the government to market.
