  3. Mission Statement Koç School is a Turkish school with a global perspective. Our multi-cultural academic community, innovative methodology, and coherentK-12 bilingual program engage all students in developing their intellectual and human qualities so that they will become confident, ethical leaders and responsible citizens of Turkey and of the world community. Some Objectives Multi-Culturalism • Develop a community that understands and respects cultural differences. • Provide fluency in Turkish and English and proficiency in a 3rd language. • Employ a variety of community activities to promote positive intersection providing opportunities to experience other cultures. Coherent Bilingual K-12 Program • Recognize individual stages of development in a vertically and horizontally integrated program • Use a range of tools to assess student progress and the program itself • Teach English through a sequentially consistent Englishlanguage program beginning in Kindergarten • Encourage bilingual nature of community by promoting bilingualism among all its members Steve Darn

ELT Goal • The goal of the K-12 English program at Koç is to develop students who can communicate fluently in bothwritten and spoken English, who can engage in a variety of contemporary and traditional international texts/media, and who can display independent, creative and critical thinking.
