The first time you click on the Lottery App, you will be directed to the Residential Housing Contract. This will only happen the first time you click on the Lottery App. Review the contract and scroll down to the bottom and click on agree to terms of the contract. Click on Back to Lottery Queue  

  5. You must check that you agree to the terms in order to continue on to creating your group. When the contract is signed you may click on back to the Lottery Queue. Back to Lottery Queue The contract was signed on April 19, 2022 5:31:59 PM

  6. When choosing to select a single, click on the single icon Here you can add housing choices to your wish list. You must add choices to the wish list. An empty wish list will result in no housing assigned.

  7. You may add as many options as you want. You may specify rooms as indicated in the example above. Don’t be shy. The more options you add the better. OR you may indicate that any room in the selected residence hall is okay. Be sure to click on to add to the option on your wish list.

  8. When you click on Create new roommate group you will be taken to the next page.  The person creating the group will forever be known as the Group Leader.  You and your group will choose who will act as the group leader.  The Group Leader is responsible for inviting people to join the group.  The Group Leader will (a) select the size of the group (b) add names to the group (c) send invitations to the all group members.  The Group Leader is responsible for monitoring the invites to be sure that everyone is accepting the invitation. The group is not valid until everyone accepts the invite and the group will remain in pending status.  Groups in pending status will be passed over when selection begins.  If anyone in the group declines the invitation, the group will become invalid.  Only groups whose status is VALID will be entered into the lottery.

  9. When the Group Leader has clicked on “create new roommate group you will be taken to the next page where you will click on the size of the group. Next send invitations where directed to add the student last name.

  10. Here a group of two has been created. Note the lottery number for the group is 844. IMPORTANT NOTE: The group average number is HIGHER than the individual number. It is very important that if you want to be part of a group you reorder how the number is called. If this is not done, the person with the lower number may be assigned to a single if the person has any singles in their wish list. This invalidates the group.

  11. Clicking on the “2 People” indicator will take you to the expanded queue.

  12. Group leaders will add housing options to the wish list. In the expanded queue the GL will be able to add to the wish list.

  13. If you want specific rooms on the wish list then you may indicate them in the drop down.

  14. Available rooms can be tracked through the Explore Rooms app located at the top of your landing page.

  15. For more information about what is available, click on the residence you are interested in.

  16. When you click on a specific building you will see what rooms are still available, what is assigned to the room and how many bedrooms there are in the suite.

  17.  Once you are assigned there is no going back. You may not cancel because you see that a preferable room is still available.  You may not cancel to join another group.  You have completed the housing selection process.
