Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) for Revisions to the Common Rule • Matching level of review to level of risk • Updating informed consent processes • Establishing mandatory data security protocols • Standardizing protocols on adverse events • Extending protection to all research at institutions receiving funding from Common Rule agencies
