1. MISSION: To provide fixed wing airlift of cargo and transport of personnel to the DoD, DA, COCOM and the states, to meet wartime missions and federal/state peacetime contingencies. Detachment 45 OSA METL & GOALS 2007 METL Execute Fixed Wing Cargo and Utility Transport Missions Deploy & Redeploy Aircraft and Aircrews Train and Season Aircrews _________________________________________________ GOALS Safety: Identify and mitigate the risks associated with daily operational tasks. Review all mission factors for the best possible outcome using risk management techniques. Make time for safety. Strategic Undertakings: Increase relevancy for Army Fixed Wing support for JOSAC operational missions and exercises. Conduct training, mobilization, deployment operations in Theaters of War Strategically. Continue to integrate Fixed Wing force structure through the state JFHQ into Homeland Defense and State Emergency Support missions. Operations: Provide at least 80% of the flying hour program for OSA operational use missions and conduct individual/unit training events/courses at 10 % or greater. Integrate force protection/security into all operations Maintenance/Resources: Coordinate aircraft modifications for increased operational capabilities through appropriate levels of command. Seek methodology for program funding assistance from federal/state resources. Prioritize safety, joint military and civilian contract relationships, and quality of life Personnel: Recruit quality aviators, soldiers to fill all Detachment vacancies Assist in resolving state MTOE and manning issues that impact unit readiness Integrate Force Protection/Security into all operations
