  4. Personal & Contact Information • Graduated from the University of South Florida in 2015 • Been a kindergarten teacher for five years • E-mail: krlecomte.k@beluga.elm.edu • Phone: (277) 727-0626 • Please no calls after 6:00PM, but my e-mail is always available!

  5. Classroom Rules • Listen when someone is talking • Raise your hand to speak • Follow directions • Keep your hands to yourself • Keep your workplace tidy • Use good manners • Work as a team And ALWAYS do your best!

  6. Behavioral Consequences • The Green/Yellow/Red Card System • When a child is on green (making good choices): • Student is having a great day! • When a child is on yellow (making bad choices, needs several reminders): • Has had one (or two) verbal warnings • Possibly a time-out • When a child is on red (making bad, possibly dangerous, choices): • A time-out in the Thinking Chair • A note home • Possibly a trip to the Principal and/or a referral

  7. Homework Policy—Monthly Packet • A Packet of assignments will be sent home every month • Every Friday, the student will bring the packet in so I may check on their progress and make corrections • Student may work ahead • Please take the time to go over the work with your child and use positive reinforcement • Pencil only, please (unless otherwise stated) • HW should take no longer than 15-20 minutes

  8. Homework Policy—Monthly Packet Dates • Packet will be sent home on: • September 6 • October 4 • November 1 • December 6 (contains 2 weeks of HW and a project to be done over Winter Break) • January 3 • February 7 • March 7 (no HW over Spring Break) • April 4 • May 2 • No packet in June—Separate take-home assignments will be issued instead

  9. Grades & Report Cards • There will be a small quiz every other Friday on topics varying from Writing, Reading, Math, and Science • Homework and Class Participation will also be counted for a grade • Report Cards are issued every six weeks • Please sign the report and have your child bring it back to school the next day

  10. Fundraisers • Month of November—Canned food drive for needy families • March 14-18 (Week before Spring Break)—School-wide Bake Sale • All proceeds benefit our favorite school—Beluga Elementary School! • Donations, monetary and otherwise, are always appreciated both in the classroom and in the entire school

  11. Volunteer Opportunities • Science Wednesdays! (Every Wednesday) • Help with Set-up/Clean-up & Safety (where applicable) • Pumpkin Patch Field Trip (on Oct. 20) • Supervisors, Group Leaders • Valentine’s Day Day-Out (on Feb. 14) • Supervisors, Group Leaders • Field Trip to MOSI—Museum of Science & Industry (sometime in April) • Supervisors, Group Leaders • Other opportunities will “pop-up” throughout the year—Stay Tuned!
