D. in China program issues: • Change the name to avoid some concerns: Remove “joint”? Fellowship/Grant? • Hosting University issues: • Expend to partner universities? • Research projects issues: • Allow the projects beyond the 100 listed ones

  3. Teacher training, Core Teacher, Major in Teaching Chinese • Core teacher issues: • Senior lecturer, Assistant Prof. level teaching coordinator; • Approved by Oct. 1, at least Dec. 1 each year; • Major in Teaching Chinese issues: • Nationality issue??

  4. Chinese Language Day • Name suggestion: (China Day中国语言文化日); • Time issue: • Sept 19 (China time or U.S. time?) • Flexibility: ± one week? • Formatissue: Independent or join other establish program
