  1. John 14“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

  2. “Why should I believe in Jesus? How can I be sure he's real or that the Bible is the word of God?” Authenticity

  3. “Did Jesus ever even claim to be God?” Authenticity

  4. “The claims of Christ are many and varied. He said that He existed before Abraham (John 8:58), and that He was equal with the Father (John 5:17, 18). Jesus claimed the ability to forgive sins (Mark 2:5–7), which the Bible teaches was something that God alone could do (Isaiah 43:25).” “The New Testament equated Jesus as the creator of the universe (John 1:3), and that He is the one who holds everything together (Colossians 1:17). The apostle Paul says that God was manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16, KJV), and John the evangelist says that “the Word was God” (John 1:1). The united testimony of Jesus and the writers of the New Testament is that He was more than mere man; He was God.” - Josh McDowell

  5. “Why should I believe in Jesus? How can I be sure he's real or that the Bible is the word of God?” Authenticity

  6. “How can we be sure Jesus is the only way? That's really arrogant!” Arrogance

  7. God “Many paths lead from the foot of the mountain, but at the peak we all gaze at the single bright moon.”

  8. The Elephant and the Blind Men

  9. “How can we be sure Jesus is the only way? That's really arrogant!” Arrogance

  10. Small Group Question What did you agree with or disagree with about what I just said – Jesus as the only way versus many ways to God?

  11. “What about believers in other religions? Are the other religions wrong then? Why is your God better or different than my God? Are you saying you’re better than me?” Other Religions

  12. “Let’s take the three great monotheistic religions. They hold different views about the resurrection of Jesus. My Jewish friends believe that Jesus died and did not rise. My Muslim friends believe he didn’t die. I believe that he both died and rose. These three views cannot all be true.” - John Lennox

  13. “Jesus’ claim of exclusivity is really offensive to people of other religions. Who’s to say that he’s right and not the other religions?” Other Religions

  15. Small Group Question What are you thinking/how are you responding to the exclusivity of Jesus as it has been talked about tonight?

  16. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
