  2. The purpose of this program is to program the Kirk handset and Kirk repeater. One can adjust the volume, alter the start-up text, load flash code and menus and adjust the gain levels of the microphone and loudspeaker for the Kirk Handset. The repeater can be configured to connect to a Kirk System 1500 or a Kirk residential base (e.g. Kirk System 500 or KCS). To utilise this software for registration of repeaters/handset a special hardware kit is needed. This hardware is required to make the connection between your computer and the repeater or the handset. This hardware can be obtained by contacting KIRK telecom A/S.

  3. Hardware repeater programming The hardware package consists of two items (A serial cable and a modular connector adapter). Connect the serial cable to the modular connector adapter. Connect the mains adapter (part of the repeater) to the modular connector adapter. Connect the modular connector adapter to the repeater, the mains adapter to mains (remember to turn the mains on) and the serial cable to the comport of your computer (1 to 4).

  4. Hardware handset programming The Service Tool for Handset includes a Serio Interface and a Serial cable for the handset and an adaptor. Alternative The KIRK Docking Station can be use – with the Power supply disconnected.

  16. Load of Flash to Handset Start the programming Select the flash file Open the file

  17. Load of Flash to Handset Press power on (PP) and “any key “ (PC) at the same time until the programming has started.

  19. Serial Number Handset Read back of the Serial Number of the handset.
