Isaiah 40 31 “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run & not be weary, They shall walk & not faint”
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, & cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, & my sin is always before me. …
7 Purge me with hyssop, & I shall be clean; Wash me, & I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me hear joy & gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins, & blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, & renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Forgiveness provides spiritual “room” for God to work. To have a clean heart is to invite God into our lives.
Isaiah 55 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.
Isaiah 55 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, & the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, & He will have mercy on him; & to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
1 John 1 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, & the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 John 1 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves & the truth is not in us.
1 John 1 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful & just & will forgive us our sins & purify us from all unrighteousness.
Does God have room to work in my life?
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, & renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, & do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, & uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Recharging comes when we are not only clean, but filled with the best that God has for us. God will fill us, if we desire Him to do His work in us.
Isaiah 41 17 "The poor & needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
Isaiah 41 18 I will open rivers in desolate heights, & fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, & the dry land springs of water…
Isaiah 41 20 That they may see & know, & consider & understand together, That the hand of the Lord has done this, & the Holy One of Israel has created it.
Matt 4 6 Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, & sinners shall be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, & my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips, & my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
When our spirit is recharged & refreshed, our heart & voice are filled with encouragement, witness & praise.
Luke 6 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; & an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.
