  3. Difference Between Email Marketing and Spam

  4. As discussed at several marketing summits, unlike emails, spams are unsolicited. You receive an email only if you have provided your email addresses to someone. But spammers find their way into your inbox by obtaining email addresses. Email marketing has no risk involved to the user’s device; on the other hand, spammers send emails with malicious intent, and the moment you respond to their emails, you are a victim trapped in their scam. Email marketing complies with digital communication ethics, but scammers have no fear of law and have no idea what digital marketing ethics are. Email marketing is done while paying a lot of attention and care, but spams are deceptive and are intended to harm the user in any frivolous manner.

  5. How to Avoid Getting Flagged as a Scam?

  6. Check the content of your email. Make sure that you use a private and authentic domain. Make unsubscription as seamless as subscription. Ask the receiver to add your email address in their contact list Provide information to the receiver about the email.

  7. How your genuine email marketing strategy is flagged as spam?

  8. You are more likely to be dragged down in the spam category if you use an IP address that has been previously tagged as a spam source. • Top webmail providers use the engagement factor to filter the emails; ensure that your email is informative and engaging for it to be not spammed! • Every email marketer must avoid a few common trigger words and phrases: Not spam, Amazing, Fast Cash, etc. The email header plays a crucial role in deciding whether your email strategy is worth it. The inconsistency in the receiver or sender information can leave you stuck in the spam box. Ensure that the links you include in the email do not redirect to a blacklisted website.
