  2. Simplest Form • A fraction is in simplest formwhen the numerator and denominator have no common factors other than 1.

  3. When a ratio is already in fraction form… • Use some simple divisibility rules But Mrs. Leonard – What are divisibility rules?

  4. Divisibility Rules (the basics) • A number is divisible by 2 if : the number is even • A number is divisible by 5 if: the number ends in a zero or a five • A number is divisible by 10 if: the number ends in a zero • When all else fails try 3.
