  2. Routine Time Limits • The maximum time: • Level 6(1:15) • Levels 7 – 10 (1:30) • The entire exercise is evaluated regardless of overtime Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

Music Regulations • Floor exercise music must be: • With orchestra, piano or other instruments • human sounds allowed – NO WORDS • whistles/animal sounds allowed • Recorded digitally (MP3 players, computers, tablets, etc.) • Must have a display screen • Must be on airplane mode, when applicable Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  4. Music Regulations Deduction • Chief Judge deducts • 1.00 from average score for: • absence of music (unless technical failure) • music with words Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  5. Music Execution Deductions • Insufficient variation in Tempo/rhythm throughout Up to 0.20 • Missing synchronization of movement and musical beat throughout Up to 0.30 • Each time 0.05 • Not ending with music 0.10 SCNAWGJ

  6. Level 6 Requirements • Start Value – 10.00 • Not eligible for Bonus • Value Parts • 5 “A”s @ 0.10 each • 1 “B” @ 0.30 each Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  7. Level 6 Special Requirements • One acro series – 3 directly connected acroelements w/wo hand supportIncludes all “A” and “B” elements from groups 5, 6, 7, 8 • One salto or aerial element • Dance passage with a minimum of 2 different Group 1 elements (leap, jump, hop) • 360⁰ turn on one foot (must be completed in high relevé) Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  8. Level 6 Restrictions • Only “A” and “B” elements are allowed • If “C” or more difficult element is performed: • No Value Part • No Special Requirement • Deduct – 0.50 for each restricted element from SV Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  9. Level 7 Requirements • Start Value – 10.00 • Not eligible for Bonus • Value Parts • 5 “A”s @ 0.10 each • 2 “B”s @ 0.30 each Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  10. Level 7 Special Requirements • One acro series with 3 or more flight elements, one a backward salto stretched to two feet • A direct connection of 2 or more forward acro elements with flight • A dance passage with a minimum of two different Group 1 elements (leap, jump or hop) • A minimum of 360⁰ turn on one foot (must be completed in high relevé) Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  11. Level 7 Restrictions • Only “A” and “B” elements allowed • If “C” or higher element is performed • No Value Part • No Special Requirement • Deduct -0.50 for each from Start Value Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  12. Level 8 Requirements • Start Value = 10.00 • Not eligible for bonus • Value Parts • 4 “A”s @ 0.10 each • 4 “B”s @ 0.30 each Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  13. Level 8, 9, 10 Special Requirements • Acro series with 2 saltos or 2 directly connected saltos • Three different saltos • Dance Passage • Last Salto performed“A” for Level 8“B” for Level 9“C” for Level 10 Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  14. Level 8 Restrictions • All “A” & “B” elements allowed • All “C” DANCE elements allowed • Will receive “B” value • A maximum of one “C” acro allowed • will receive “B” value Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  15. Level 9 Requirements • Start Value = 9.7 • Maximum of + 0.30 connection bonus • For connections only • No difficulty bonus is awarded • Value Parts • 3 “A”s @ 0.10 each • 4 “B”s @ 0.30 each • 1 “C” @ 0.50 each Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  16. Level 9 Restrictions • All “A”, “B” & “C” elements allowed • Any number of “D/E” dance elements are allowed • A maximum of one “Dor E” acro element is allowed (C Value) Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  17. Level 9 Restrictions • If more than one restricted “D or E” element is performed (or attempted): • Considered in chronological order • No Value Part • No Special Requirement • Deduct – 0.50 for each restricted element from SV Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  18. Last Salto Requirement • At Level 8, 9, 10, if the last salto does not receive value part credit due to: • Failure to land on any part of the bottom of feet • The third time the element is performed • The second time in the exact same series • Restricted element for the level (Levels 8-9) • Due to spot Deduct for no Value Part and deduct 0.50 for missing SR from SV Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  19. Last Salto Requirement • If final/last salto was never initiated ie: “Balk” • Deduct from Start Value • 0.50 for missing SR # 4 • 0.30 for no attempt • If fall occurs, deduct 0.50 Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

Compositional Deductions • There are NO composition deductions for: • Level 6 • Level 7 • UP TO 0.10 DEDUCTIONS • Insufficient distribution - difficulty maintained throughout • Insufficient use of floor exercise area spatially (floor pattern) • Insufficient use of direction (movement/choreography) fwd/swd/bwd Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  21. Composition Deductions • FLAT 0.10 DEDUCTIONS • Failure to do saltos or aerials in 2 directions • More than 2 dance elements with tuck or wolf shape or straddle shape (each) • More than 1 dance element to prone (each) Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ

  22. Composition Deductions • UP TO 0.20 DEDUCTIONS • Lack of balance between acro and dance Value Parts Consider quality and quantity • Dance CV bonus not required • Acro not up to competitive level • Consider culminating championship competitions Winnie Witten - SCNAWGJ
