Objectives • To organize training programmes and workshops for all cadres of Government servants on disaster management • To design and develop training modules on various aspects on disaster management • To conduct TOT programmes on disaster management • Undertake case studies on disaster management • To provide assistance to the Govt. departments in the formulation& implementation of policies, strategies etc. related to disaster management

Objectives • To take up research relating to disaster management • To assist the nodal department i.e., Relief (Revenue) Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh • To document various events and best practices in disaster management • To collect literature , books & other information and disseminate knowledge to all the stakeholders.

  6. Training Programmes Proposed • TOTs on Preparation of Disaster Management Plans (DMPs) • Location Specific & Department Specific Training Programmes • TOTs on Incident Command System • Workshops on District Disaster Management Plans & State Disaster Management Plans

About Dr. MCR HRD I.A.P, Hyderabad • Dr. MCR HRDI A.P. was established in the year 1976. • Was declared as an Apex & Nodal agency for training activities • The Hon’ble CM is the Chairman of the Governing Body • The MCR HRD Institute imparts training on various issues to all cadres of Government functionaries at different levels. • The Institute has been certified ISO 901:2001 • Has state-of-the art training infrastructure, hostel, library and recreation facilities.

About Dr. MCR HRD I.A.P, Hyderabad • Training halls/Seminar halls/Class rooms : 18 No (Each hall has a capacity of 40 members and is provided with the LCD Projectors and other modern audio visual equipment. • The Institute has 3 huge air-conditioned conference halls (Each hall is provided with the latest Projectors, microphones etc. and can accommodate around 150 members each). • One huge air-conditioned Board room with a capacity of 120 members. • One Auditorium with the state of the art facilities with a capacity of 250 members.

  11. Capacity Developmenrt - Important Elements • Training of Engineering Personnel in Design, Execution, O&M of CERP works • Strengthening the HSCs in the offices of the Engineers-in-Chief • Institutionalization of ICS for quick response mechanism • TM concept for CDM as suggested by the HPC
