Course Description & Goal Objectives • This class will: • Instruct students in a basic understanding of music theory and technique, including: • Sight-reading • Rhythmic values • Expressive devices • Afford students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by performing a variety of repertoire on the keyboard
Grading/Homework Policy • Students will be graded according to the following weighted categories: • Daily Participation = 40% of total grade • Tests (written & performance) = 40% of total grade • Keyboard Binder = 20% of total grade • Late Work: Late work will be accepted through the end of each unit. It is the students’ responsibility to bring each assignment to the teacher for grading/adjudication.
