Babati District Research–for–Development (R4D) Platform

The Babati District Research-for-Development (R4D) Platform, known as Jukwaa la Utafiti na Maendeleo Wilayani Babati (JUMBA), is a collaborative initiative led by Malmö University and Livelihoods Africa RISING. This demand-driven approach aims for long-term positive impacts in rural livelihoods through integrated systems interventions. Engaging a diverse range of stakeholders—including farmers, extension agents, NGOs, and policymakers—this platform fosters interactive design, co-evolution, capacity building, and knowledge sharing to address local challenges effectively.
