Primary MOAO testbed deliverables • Verify untested/theoretical terms in WF error budget for several key cases • Uncover hidden errors and concerns (several examples after tour) • Feedback to optical design and cost estimates • Demonstrate feasibility of key technologies What NOT to look for: • Extensive trade studies with variation of many related parameters

Finding tomography error • Error budget terms are modeled with simulation or verified empirically • Strategy: • Measure Strehl with all atmosphere at the ground • Derive fitting error, aliasing error, DM open-loop error, and other terms • Measure Strehl with an MOAO-type open-loop correction utilizing LTAO with distributed atmosphere • Difference in Strehls due to tomography error and scintillation
