  1. HI! The members of our group are…Anna – 12, 7th gradeTahir – 13, 8th gradeJulia – 13, 8th gradeSkylar – 13, 8th grade Cornelius – 13, 8th gradeThe activity/ lab that we got to do on Monday was GEO CACHING. Our goal was to find hidden clues for our teams all around the campus by using given GPS coordinates and a GPS, as well as using the clues to find what they meant. We were trying to use our skills like teamwork and cooperation to find what all the groups’ clues had in common – transportation (has to do with the theme of the camp)!

  2. So how did we actually DO the lab? • First, we took a class (thanks to Susan and Kim) about GPSs and how they work (there are 24 GPS satellites around Earth) • Then, we found our clues • After that, we went to a computer lab to find what our clues meant, and how they were connected to each other • We just needed a GPS as our equipment • We didn’t have to make anything either – we just discussed

  3. What happened with the lab? • We concluded that all of the groups’ clues added up to being related to transportation! • We all saw ways within each groups clues that had to do with transportation

  4. Sunday- so how did we get to know each other? • We played a name game – you say your name, along with an adjective that starts with the same letter as your name, and then say the name all of the people before yours • We lined up by birthday • We made door signs for our rooms with our roommates

  5. THANK YOU! Thanks to PARENTS, our TEACHERS, our COUNSELORs, our LEADERS, and other STAFF…. BYE!
