  1. Our solar system Planets in space all about the solar system By Morgan Ridgway

  2. A easy method to remember • A good method to remember • Mercury-My • Venus-very • Earth-easy • Mars-Method • Jupiter-just • Saturn-simplifies • Uranus-us • Neptune-nodding ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  3. The moon • The moon orbits the earth and takes 28 days for the moon to orbit the earth fully and that’s what makes a month and a full moon!! The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 kilometres (238,857 mi), about thirty times the diameter of the Earth. The common centre of mass of the system (the barycentre) is located at about 1,700 kilometres (1,100 mi)—a quarter the Earth's radios—beneath the surface of the Earth.

  4. The sun • The sun is a bright and hot place to see and to feel. The sun stays in 1 place. Also the sun ties the solar system together it’s what keeps it all in place. Sun's mass consists of hydrogen, most of the rest is helium. Less than 2% consists of other elements, including iron, oxygen, carbon, neon, and others. • The Sun's colour is white, although from the surface of the Earth it may appear yellow because of atmospheric scattering. It has a spectral class of G2V.informally designated a "yellow star" because the majority of its radiation is in the yellow-green portion of the visible spectrum. The G2 indicates its surface temperature of approximately 5,780 K (5,510 °C.)

  5. Mercury • Mercury's position is second from the sun and its distance from the sun is 57,910,000km. Also Mercury day is 38.65 earth days.Did you know that Mercury year is 87.97 earth days. Also did you know that Mercury's orbital speed is 47.8km/sec.Also Mercury eccentricity of orbit is 0.206. Also Mercury has no satellites also mercury's diameter is 4.878km.Did you know that Mercury's mass is 3.30e23kg.Also that Mercury is the eighth largest planet in our solar system. Also Mercury is a heavily cratered planet.Mercury is also called quicksilver. Mercury was believed by the Greeks to be two different stars.

  6. Venus • Venus is second from the sun and its distance from the sun is 108,200.000km (.72AU).Also Venus day is 243 earth day's and Venus year is 224.7 earth days. Venus orbital speed is 35km/sec and the eccentricity of orbit is 0.007. Also Venus has no satellites and its diameter is 12.100km.The mass is 4.869e24kg.Also the major atmospheric gas is carbon dioxide. Also Venus is the sixth largest planet in our solar system.

  7. Earth • Earth is the third planet from the sun. It is the fifth largest of all the planets, Earth is a magnificent place that is been polluted by driving cars and all the gasses from power plants and is killing earth. There is loads of life on earth including us people and animals etc. Also Scientists use the earth to study other planets!

  8. Mars • Mars has two satellites and Mars distance from the sun is 227,940,000km.Mars day is 24.6 hours and Mars year is 686.9 earth days. Also Mars is the seventh largest planet in our solar system. Also the diameter is 6,794km. Also the mass is 6.4219e23km.The space of orbit is 0.093. Also the orbital speed is 24.2km/sec And the distance from the sun 227,940,000km.The major atmospheric gas is carbon dioxide. Mars is also known as the red planet.Water and ice has been found on Mars.

  9. Jupiter • Jupiter is known as the largest planet in our solar system • Jupiter’s position is fifth from the sun. Also Jupiter's distance from the sun is 778,330,000km also Jupiter day is 9.6 earth hours.

  10. Saturn • Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest planet in the solar system, after Jupiter. Saturn, along with Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, is classified as a gas giant. Together, these four planets are sometimes referred to as the Jovian, meaning "Jupiter-like", planets.

  11. Uranus • Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and the third-largest and fourth most massive planet in the Solar System. It is named after the ancient Greek deity of the sky Uranus (Ancient Greek: Οὐρανός) the father of Kronos (Saturn) and grandfather of Zeus (Jupiter). Though it is visible to the naked eye like the five classical planets, it was never recognized as a planet by ancient observers because of its dimness and slow orbit. Sir William Herschel announced its discovery on March 13, 1781, expanding the known boundaries of the Solar System for the first time in modern history. Uranus was also the first planet discovered with a telescope.
