All About Me • My background • I grew up in California and moved with my family to Texas summer of 2011 • My education: Community College, Sonoma State University for Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, National University for Teaching Credential • This is my 7th year of teaching, 3rd at Cedar Ridge High School

  3. My Goals • To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. • To help your child discover new interests. • To help your child become workplace ready.

Accounting Topics • Intro to Accounting and Careers • The Basic Accounting Cycle • Accounting for Payroll Systems • Accounting Cycle for a Merchandising Business • Accounting for Corporations (Stock) • Laws and Regulatory Issues • Accounting for Special Procedures • Quick Books Certification • UIL Accounting • ACC Articulated Credit

  5. Homework • I do not assign homework! Students need to use class time wisely. If they are having to finish an assignment at home, it’s because they were absent or chose not to use class time correctly.

  6. Make-up Work/Late Work • Please check my website for assignments that were missed due to a class absence. • Late work: • One day late = 85 • Two days late = 70 • Anything later is a zero

  8. Grading Policy • Daily work and participation – 60% • Tests and Projects – 40% • Total – 100% • *Cheating will result in an automatic zero – No Exceptions!
