  3. In your notes.. • Describe what was agreed to at the Potsdam Conference. • Describe what was agreed to at the Yalta Conference.

In your notes.. • Describe what was agreed to at the Potsdam Conference. • Germany would be divided after the war and nations would be in charge of helping their region recover from the war. • Describe what was agreed to at the Yalta Conference. • Nations throughout Europe would be allowed to choose what type of government they had and who would be in charge of their governments.

  5. Suspicion • Soviets (communism) • Have control of Eastern Europe • USA (capitalists) • Gain prestige and power after WWI and still growing • Superpowers begin to oppose each other
