  6. Anything you want to add? • Advanced handbook • Logbook • To get the certificate you need to complete the syllabus in the logbook. This should be possible by combining this course with a days coaching organised by one of the club racing coaches.

  8. Why Race? • Social, make new friends • Somewhere to go • Improves skills • Don’t need to win to have fun! • Don’t be put off by the apparent ‘high standard’ of sailing or the shouting. Everyone has to start somewhere and you might be surprised.

  13. Handicap • Everyone racing against the clock • Handicap used to correct time round the course. • Fastest corrected time wins!
