Using OARE Search Engines. You have to ensure that you log in in order to access full-text articles. This will take you to the Journals page. There are a number of databases and bibliographic indexes, accessible from the list on the right hand side of the website.

  1. Using OARE Search Engines

  2. You have to ensure that you log in in order to access full-text articles.

  3. This will take you to the Journals page.There are a number of databases and bibliographic indexes, accessible from the list on the right hand side of the website.

  4. To access the search engines go the Databases and Article searching section.

  5. Environmental Index (EBSCO)

  6. To use EBSCO click on the drop down arrow and choose EBSCO.

  7. This will take you to the EBSCO home page with the Basic search function. You can limit your search using various fields such as “dates, publication type, Boolean e.t.c.”

  8. Use the search box and use keywords to search .

  9. This will give you a list of the results for the search with article titles and bibliographic information.

  10. For each result a SFX link is provided which you must click to check if you have access to the full-text article through OARE.

  11. If you have access the SFX window will open with the “Go” link to the publisher website.

  12. Full-text article (HTML) opens up on the publisher website.

  13. Full-text article in HTML.

  14. To open the same article in the PDF version click on the link. (Location of the link will vary with publisher).

  15. Ensure that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader *If not download a free copy from www.adobe.com Article in the PDF version

  16. To print click the printer icon here.

  17. To save click the save icon here.

  18. Environmental Science & Pollution Management (CSA)

  19. To use CSA click on the drop down arrow and choose CSA.

  20. This will take you to the CSA home page with the Quick search function. You may also use the advanced search and search tool functions. You can limit your search using for example subject area or date range.

  21. Use the search box and use keywords to search .

  22. This will give you a list of the results for the search with article titles, bibliographic information and a brief summary.

  24. For each result a SFX link is provided which you must click to check if you have access to the full-text article through OARE.

  25. If you have access the SFX window will open with the “Go” link to the publisher website.

  26. Full-text article (HTML) opens at the publisher website.
