2. Busy life's of Americans. • Americans work more than anyone in the industrialized world. • More than the English, more than the French, way more than the Germans or Norwegians. Even, recently, more than the Japanese. • Road rage, anger , depression,shooting all have been linked to over working and stress from overworking

3. Effects of busy life and overworking • Overworking can not only create health issues but also mental health issues by being stressed or burnt out which can create problems at home or in relationships • Many Americans feel that they must work longer hours and harder to make up for cutbacks and the fear of losing their job adding to stress • 2010 study found working 10 or more hours a day resulted in a 60 percent jump in risk of cardiovascular issues. • the truth is that overtime work may be associated with a risk of mental decline or even dementia. A 2009 study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology found a possible negative effect on cognitive performance after working long hours in middle age.

4. Overworking facts about America?! • In the U.S., 85.8 percent of males and 66.5 percent of females work more then 40 hours per week. • The united states has the lowest paid vacation days and sick days out of all the nations. • There is no federal law requiring sick days in the united states.

Jobs in the U.S.A • Jobs in the U.S. require workers to work longer hours and harder due to cutbacks and layoffs in the workforce • In 1999, more than 25 million Americans - 20.5 percent of the total workforce - reported that they worked at least 49 hours a week, and 11 million of those said they worked more than 59 hours a week • Study’s show that American's overworking themselves is rapidly increasing since 1990

6. Effects busy life has on families • Busy life’s can effect more then just our health they can also affect our life’s outside work especially when you have a family . • Study's have suggested that those who worked long hours or overtime or have been overworked were much more likely to divorce or have relationship problems. • A study shows those who worked at least 11 hours of overtime a week and had families showed that the family had felt neglected by the individual because of the overworking.

7. Why are we so busy? • Americans are having to work longer hours and harder to make up for layoffs and work cutbacks. • our jobs are being outsourced to the cheap labor in those countries. In reality, the U.S. is still the world leader in Productivity per person. • Since our jobs are being outsourced we feel threatened and making it seem like we need to work longer to get more done to show our jobs are more valuable here
