  2. The Teenage Republicans will hold an important Mtg today Thurs., Jan. 9th.  The Mtg during 4thhr. lunch will take place in rm F 102, while the 5thhr. Mtg will take place in the library.  We have many events this month and would like your participation.

  3. Paradise Valley Community College will be here on Thurs., Jan. 9, 2014@ 10:30 AM. in the College & Career CenterHope to see you there.

  4. Attention Guitar Club: There is no Guitar Club meeting today…The next meeting is Thursday, January 16th.

  5. Wrestling defeated Brophy 48 to 25 & North 70 to 6.  The next Home meet is the 21st if you want to see our best demolish Pinnacle.

  6. 2014 YOUNG ARTISTS AND AUTHORS SHOWCASE The jury has meet and selected 3 of Chaparral's students. Congratulations to all of our students who entered. Special mention to Shelby Murphy for taking 2nd place in a painting piece titled "Mathilde"…

  7. 3rd place in the mixed media category went to Catherine Beeh titled "Environmental Roots" and Honorable Mention in painting category went to Sloane Peterson, piece titled “Imprisoning Beliefs”. Congratulations to all!

  8. Girls Varsity Soccer beat liberty last night 3-0. Mackenzie Robinson scored 2 goals and Sophia Struckman 1. Olivia Struckman and Meagan Dries had the assist. Congrat's to the whole team who contributed to a great win. Good luck girls on Monday in Flagstaff.

  9. Life Skills is recycling empty chip bags in the cafeteria & library all year.  The bin is emptied weekly. Just drop them in the bin, not in trash!

  10. Looking for after-school work? Check the jobs board in the College & Career Center. New jobs posting all the time.

  11. Please help us collect used eye glasses for the underprivileged families in Guatemala.  If you or a family member have any used eye glasses please consider donating them to us.  There is a box in the band room so you can drop them off there, or in the guidance office.  Thanks for your help!

  12. Want to go to Alamos, Mexico on Spring Break?? YES? SI! …An Alamos, Mexico exchange…there are still a few spaces. New members welcome. International Club is still accepting applications in the library. See Mrs. Harris

  13. Students please remember it is a MUST to have a signed pass to come to the library during class time. Get one signed from your teacher BEFORE you leave or go back for it.
