  5. Expectations • Be respectful • Be responsible • Be honest • Show kindness • Be on time and prepared for class • Do your best & take pride in your work

  6. Procedures • Sharpen pencils & throw away trash before or after class, during seatwork, or group activities. • After entering the classroom: • sit down in your assigned seat • take out your notebook • write down the homework assignment • complete bell ringer activity

  7. Procedures- cont. • Raise your hand & wait to be called on before speaking during class discussions • You are expected to be on task, take notes, participate, & complete all classwork/homework. • As class comes to a close, remain seated until you are dismissed by the teacher. • Make sure you have all of your belongings & your area is clean • PICK UP TRASH ON FLOOR

Procedures-cont. • Hallway • Remain silent • Walk on right side in a single file line • Keep your hands to yourself • Lunch • Remain seated at all times • No return trips to lunch line • Sit at designated table with class • Dispose of your trash as directed by teacher & line up in single file in front of the stage

  9. Procedures-cont. • Afternoon dismissal • Remain seated & quiet • Students will be dismissed by grade level & are to be escorted by teacher to bus loading zone

  10. Prohibited Items & Actions • Cell phones are NOT allowed to be used by students in class without teacher permission. • Eating in class • Vulgar language or gestures • Throwing objects such as: paper, pencils, books

  11. Prohibitions- cont. • Getting out of your seat without teacher permission • Touching, taking, or using something that is not yours without permission

  12. Consequences • 1. Verbal warning • 2. Yellow Card = formal warning • 3. Red Card = write 10 detention sentences by next school day • 4. Detention • 5. Office referral • Fighting, issuing threats, etc. = immediate office referral

  13. Something to Remember • If you mess with the bull, you will get the horns!
