The path the egg travels • Mature ova (egg) releases from ovary • Hormones propel (FSH, LH, Estrogen) the egg through the Fallopian Tube • IF the ova does not meet sperm in the FT, it travels to the uterus where the lining sheds and bleeding occurs for 7 to 10 days= Menstruation • IF the ova meets sperm in the FT, the fertilized egg implants in the Uterus and develops into a fetus • What happens if the fertilized egg does NOT implant in the uterus? • Ectopic Pregnancy
