  7. Chilled and Frozen Cargoes Above -10º C: Chilled Cargoes Examples: Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy Products, Beverages, Chilled Meat, Leather, Chemicals, Photo films etc. -10º C Below -10º C: Frozen Cargoes Examples: Frozen Meat, Fish, Marine Products, Frozen Vegetables, Chemicals, Ice Cream etc.

  8. Chilled Cargoes • Any cargo which is stored above -10º C • Live Cargo, Generates Heat continuously • Precise Temperature Control +/- 0.2º C is essential to prevent deterioration of cargo

  9. Frozen Cargoes • Any Cargo which is stored below -10º C • Dead Cargo, Does not generate heat continuously • Precise Temperature Control is not critical for preservation i.e., If Requirement is -15º C, it can go upto -18º C.
