MRSO Update

MRSO is committed to updating the IGG regarding issues with Generation Loss Adjustment Factors (LAFs). Since the market's go-live, Eirgrid has been providing essential data for seven price-affecting generators daily, which is crucial for SEMO's pricing inputs. Until recently, systems could not apply DLAFs to data from these generators. This has been rectified as of January 1st (Mod. 43_08). Although MRSO has realigned approximately 40 sites to QH starting January 1, 09, this correction has no significant impact on the retail market. Efforts continue to move around 100 sites before the next audit in June 09.

Generation Loss Adjustment Factors (LAFs) • MRSO committed to update the IGG on an issue concerning generation loss factors • Since go-live Eirgrid has been providing data for the 7 price affecting generators in the market • This data is needed on a 7 day basis by SEMO because it is an input to the price • Up to now their systems have not been able to apply DLAFs to data from these 7 sites • This situation is now corrected from 1st Jan (Mod 43_08) • This has no significant impact on the retail market

  3. NQH to QH • MRSO recently moved approx 40 sites to QH with a start date of 1st Jan 09 • There are approx 100 sites that PDS/MRSO hope to move before the next audit is completed, which is due the end of June 09.
