  2. Most of the Portuguese towns are based on urban historical structures. These prototypical forms are into two basic groups: littoral and inlands forms.

  28. At the end an excessive regeneration can be a serious problem. Identity problems were important when regeneration strategies included gentrification activities.

  29. Scale of the proposal is definitively an important question. Problems about brownfields are coming from this perspective.

  30. Old industrial areas, disabled port areas are generally too big for the scale of the town and the urban society is not able to absorb it.
