Marketing Tools - Objectives By the end of this section, you will know how to: • Change the Message of the Day (MOTD) • Use Email Manager to market to consumers (if applicable) • Set up Promotion Manager to send targeted marketing promotions to consumers (if applicable) • Use Start Screen URL to direct consumers to key features in IB  • Run marketing reports

Marketing > IB Message of the Day • Home Banking MOTD posted on Login Page NOTE: If your financial institution uses any login besides the standard or custom login page, the message will appear in a new window on your untethered login page or your home page login. The background of the window will be blank with the message displayed in the center of the page. • Bill Payment MOTD not applicable as our current Bill Pay products are single sign-on • Three messages can be saved; only the selected one will display. • Option not to display MOTD • HTML (HyperText Markup Language) can be used. • Always Preview your message (especially if you are using HTML) before clicking on Save.

  5. Email Manager Note: This content is repeated from Module 6: Reports. Email Manager is an optional feature that can be purchased. It allows you to send emails to selected groups of consumers andcan be accessed from the bottom of User Report and Activity Reporting results screens. • NOTES: • The emails that you create with Email Manager are sent to any consumer who appears in the query results and who has an active email address or any consumer that you upload (Growth and Retention Program only). • The Operations and Marketing representatives from your financial institution should have access to Email Manager to send messages to consumers. Remember to view the recorded Email Manager webcast after this Certification course if you have purchase Email Manager. Email Manager – Sample Reports • User Report: • Last Login Date less than or equal to (date) • HB Pre-Registered and BP Pre-Registered • Online Statements Disclosure equal to No • Users who have Internet Banking but not Bill Payment • Activity Reporting: • Volume of transfers • Number of logins to Internet Banking • Download PFM

  7. Marketing > IB Promotion Manager Promotion Manager allows the financial institution to display targeted marketing to Internet Banking consumers. Training is provided via a separate training course, and is accessible from the financial institution’s implementation site (typically MySupport).

Maintenance > IB Start Screen By URL Financial institution administrators can create links that will lead a consumer to a designated (financial institution defined) start page after a successful login. Links can be to a primary navigation button, a secondary navigation button or a third party vendor product. The purpose is to promote products or features within Internet Banking that the consumer would not necessarily know about. NOTE: You must request this feature be turned on.

Marketing Reports There are several reports the financial institution can use to aid in marketing efforts: • Reports > Web Site Statistics • Reports > IB Analyze Log Reports • And two reports for retaining consumers: • Reports > IB Activity Reports • Reports > User Report NOTE: For full details of these reports please review Module 6: Reports.

Marketing - IB Activity Reports • Reports are just one way to find out who the financial institution’s consumers are, what they are doing, and how the financial institution can market new products and services to them. These are two reports to help the financial institution accomplish this. • Activity Reporting - Some suggested transaction types for marketing purposes are: • Scheduled Transaction and transfer • Alternate User ID Change and Change Password • Forgotten Password and Set Up Challenge Questions • BP Registration • Single Signon • Online Statement Waiver (if applicable) • MFA Options and MFA Challenge • Redeem Mature CD (if applicable) • Cross Member (Credit Unions allowing transfers across members only)

  12. Marketing - User Report The User Report allows the financial institution to pull information on certain statuses and types of users in Internet Banking who they can then market to. Some suggested reports to pull for marketing purposes are: • 1. Registered users who haven't logged in • Field to Search: Activated Account • Operation: Not equal to • Value: Yes • 2. Locked out users • Field to Search: Locked out • Operation: Equal to • Value: Yes • 3. Active users w/o bill payment • Field to Search: Activated Account • Operation: Equal to • Value: Yes • AND • Field to Search: Bill Payment ID • Operation: Equal to • Value: null • 4. Inactive users • Field to Search: Last Login Date • Operation: Less than or equal to • Value: (enter date 30, 60, 90, 180 days ago according to financial institution inactive period)
