  2. CEOS Strategic Documents The CSS Implementation process culminates in the development of a suite of new CEOS Strategic Documents: • CEOS Strategic Guidance (10-year life) • CEOS Governance & Processes (5-7 year life) • CEOS 3-Year Work Plan (rolling, updated annually)

CSSII Strategic Documents Steering Committee • Members: • Takao Akutsu, JAXA • Marie-Josée Bourassa, CSA • Julio Dalge, INPE • Steven Hosford, CNES • Robert Husband, EUMETSAT • Christine McMahon-Bognar, NASA • Ivan Petiteville, ESA • Kerry Sawyer, CEO • Brent Smith, NOAA • Patricia Jacobberger-Jellison, NASA (Chair) • Lena Braatz, NASA SIT Team • The Steering Committee is charged with guiding the development of the CEOS Strategic Guidance and CEOS Governance and Processes Document.

Steering Committee Progress: • Terms of Reference developed in December 2012 • Committee selected and professional writer engaged • Initial Telecon held in February 2013 • Face-to-face closed work sessions on Tuesday & Friday of SIT-28 • Biweekly telecons from SIT-28 forward • Document outlines have gone through one revision • Timeline includes multiple opportunities for CEOS input and engagement
