How do you remove a timing belt cover

ls3 timing cover gasket replacement: After you have replaced the gasket on the timing cover you must replace the stock bracket which holds the cover in place. To do this you will need to lift the cover off first using your 10mm wrench. This can be tricky so I would recommend that you have two people help you out. Once you have the cover removed you need to undo the three 10mm bolts holding it on to the block. Once the bolts are undone you can lift off the cover and set the new bracket in place using the provided hardware.

You can Buy From Link Below

https://www.totalperformance.net.au/LS-TIM

 1. How do you remove a timing belt cover? The timing belt cover is a critical component on most engine designs. It helps keep the timing belt in place and protects it from debris. To remove a timing belt cover, start by removing the four screws that hold it in place. Next, disconnect the electrical connectors for the power steering pump and AC compressor. Finally, remove the belts from the engine and pulleys by hand. Then, push the belt up and away from the pulley using a socket wrench or flat head screwdriver. The cover should slide right off once the belt is removed.

 2. Remove the covers over the alternator, power steering pump, and AC compressor. Remove the belts from the engine and pulleys by hand. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the power steering pump and AC compressor. Push the belt up and away from the pulley using a socket wrench or flat head screwdriver. The covers should slide right off once the belt is removed. Remove the three plugs for each accessory and remove the nuts holding the accessories in place. Next, remove the bolts holding the accessories in and pull them free of the

 3. brackets. Finally, disconnect the electrical connectors for each accessory and pull the cables out of the engine bay. Start with the top side, you want to remove the seven small bolts holding it down using a small screwdriver. Next you want to remove six bolts holding the intake up, these will be held with a spring clip you'll want to squeeze the bolt down under the spring then use a screw driver to pry them out. Lastly there are ten larger bolts holding the turbo charger to the top side. You'll need a ratchet and socket to remove them. ls3 timing cover gasket removal: There are three different gaskets your replacing when you remove the LS3 timing cover. The first is the water pump gasket, you will need to remove the coolant hose, serpentine belt tensioner and cover first to get to the water pump. The water pump is held to the block with three 10mm bolts and a 14mm stud in the bottom of the block. You will need to loosen all three of these before removing the pump. Once the pump is free you should be able to access the timing cover gasket. This is a real pain to get off so use extra
