  4. Statue of Zeus at Olympia Location: Olympia, Greece Purpose: To honor the Greek god Zeus at his temple Dates of Construction: 466-456 BC Remains: Destroyed by fire

  5. Temple of Artemis at Ephesus Location: Modern day Turkey Purpose: Built to honor the Greek goddess Artemis, goddess of wildlife and nature, daughter of Zeus Dates of Construction: 550 BC Remains: Destroyed in arson by Herostratus, was ransacked and pillaged
