  5. Other Non-Food Sources of Biofuels • Jatropha-oil seed producing shrub • Algae • Municipal waste biomass

  6. What can we do? • Advocate for use of non-food source biofuels crops • Increased efficiency • Alternative renewable power • Incorporate social and environmental costs of biofuel production

  7. Rise in food staple commodity prices
