The hotel provides tranquility, luxury, and style all within direct reach of what the city has to offer. It was previously a home to five generations of an important family originating from the North of the island. Its most recent owners have renovated it and transformed it into one of the boutique hotels in Colombo, with the intention of immersing its guests in an atmosphere reminiscent of the moods and pursuits of the people who have lived within its walls in those times past. First built 1906, the colonial structure has been renovated over time to give the unique character of the house today. Each room of the hotel is named after a matriarch from a different generation of the family. The house comprises of eight double rooms all named after the matriarchs who lived at the house over the generations, uniquely designed with antique furniture and fittings which exude heritage and luxury. The Master, Annapuranie, a luxurious ground floor room that consists of a private lounge that can double as an extra double bedroom whilst the Family Room Chrysanthie is a split-level room where mezzanine floor doubles as lounge or extra double bed space. Ultra Rooms(Cynthia, Ranee, Vasanthi, Anithra) have access onto a private balcony or garden. Deluxe Rooms (Soundhari , Poornam) are a little smaller but with the same standard furnishing.
