  3. Membership Statistics • *down 139 members, but projecting to be ahead of 2010 numbers by end of August • ComSochad 1,350 affiliates at end of July, which is 225% more thanat end of July 2010

  4. Corporate Patron Program • No new participants – still have: • LG-Bronze level • SK-bronze • Cisco-Bronze • Samsung-Platinum • KT-bronze Prospects: • Sent information to leads suggested by Industry PromotionCommittee members, with no results. • Had good teleconference with AT&T, but no replies to follow-ups • No positive results from Byeong’s meetings with NTT or NEC – NTTdeclined to participate • Have not had any feedback from Byeong’s trip to China Plan to start contacting existing participants about renewals soon

WCET & Wireless Training Summary • Wireless training strong: • 288 registrants in 8 courses in 2011, YTD • 6 courses and 2 Metro Area Workshops remain for 2011 • Includes one-day in person courses, one-day virtual courses, 3 day in-person, and 5 day virtual • Vetting 6 new potential instructors this Fall • WCET – 42 seats for Spring window; 30 applied for Fall 2011, YTD • New WCET Practice Exam available • WEBOK sales in excess of 2,000; new edition in preparation

Marketing @ ComSoc • ComSoc exhibits at MILCOM, 4G World, PCIA’s Wireless Infrastructure Show • 45 ComSoc social media sites; Facebook page has over 20,000 likes; i-Phone apps; newi-Pad app - ComMag • Member survey launched • Five minute ComSoc recorded interview video available • A new ComSoc logo possible for 60thanniversary • Bundled society membership/2-tiered membership; Support at IEEE? • Instructor vetting, new NAR chapter website template, conference web portal draft, Best Readings NIC proposal in preparation
