  2. Learning Objectives • Describe the early theater which was prevalent during Shakespeare’s time. • Identify and explain the importance of the prologue of the play Romeo and Juliet. The Globe Theater as it would have appeared in the 1600’s. It was rebuilt in the 1990’s.

  3. Homework – Due Friday 1/8/10 • Read Act 1 scene 1 of R&J: textbook 788 – 796. • Answer the following questions. Write out the question, then answer it. • Assignment name is STREET FIGHT. • In about 100 words, explain what’s happening in this scene. Use your own words. • How does Tybalt and Benvilio differ in their responses to the street fight? • Which position does the Prince take in regards to the Capulet and Montague fued?
