Alternative Medical Treatments and Procedures

The Tracking Rare Incidence Syndromes (TRIS) project, held in Northbrook, IL in June 2013, aims to enhance understanding of rare trisomy conditions like Trisomy 9, 13, and 18, providing crucial information for families and healthcare professionals. It addresses the unique medical and developmental needs of impacted individuals, suggesting effective alternative treatments such as Healing Touch, CoQ-10, and papaya extract for gastrointestinal issues. It also evaluates less effective approaches like Reiki and craniofacial therapy. For more details, visit (http://web.coehs.siu.edu/Grants/TRIS/).
