  3. Which will it be . . . a stumbling block or a steppingstone Yes, isn’t it strange that princes and kings, and clowns that caper in sawdust rings, and common people like you and me are builders for eternity?

  4. Each of us given a bag of tools, a shapeless mass, and a book of rules; and each must make, ere life is flown, a stumbling-block or a steppingstone.

THE FAULT, OF COURSE, IS WITH THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL.” THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL TEACHER SAID, “FROM SUCH STUPIDITY MAY I BE SPARED. THEY SENT HIM UP TO ME SO UNPREPARED.”

  32. THE PRIMARY TEACHER HUFFED, “KINDERGARTEN BLOCKHEADS ALL. THEY CALL THAT PREPARATION – WHY, IT’S WORSE THAN NONE AT ALL!!” THE KINDERGARTEN TEACHER SAID, “SUCH LACK OF TRAINING NEVER DID I SEE. WHAT KIND OF A WOMAN MUST THAT MOTHER BE?” THE MOTHER SAID, “POOR HELPLESS CHILD; HE’S NOT TO BLAME. HIS FATHER’S PEOPLE WERE ALL THE SAME. SAID THE FATHER AT THE END OF THE LINE, “I DOUBT THE RASCAL’S EVEN MINE.”
