  3. When a singular noun ends in s already….. • One-syllable word, add ‘s • Boss’s rules • Graves’s Book • More than one-syllable, add an apostrophe at the end • Dallas’ sport teams

  4. When a noun is plural ( more than one) and ends in s, add an apostrophe at the end to make is possessive • The kids’ CD • Girls’ basketball team • Bosses’ secretaries • Boys’ locker room

  5. When a noun is plural ( more than one), add ‘s to make is possessive • Children’s mittens • Women’s clothing • Men’s room

  6. When possession is shared by more than one noun, use ‘s for the LAST noun in the series • There’s Katie, Ethan and Allison’s mother. • Kate, Jason, and Abby’s pool is cool!
