Improving Public Lands Management: A Strategy for Sustainable Facilities

This initiative focuses on addressing historic underfunding of public lands facilities programs. By gaining support from Congress and OMB for maintenance and capital improvement budgets, we aim to enhance business practices and provide credible information to support our cause. With a focus on safe visits to public lands, the strategy aims to ensure sustainable management of constructed assets and promote progress in facilities management. The initiative involves multiple government agencies, led by the Department of the Interior, and aims to improve the overall visitor experience and conservation of natural resources.
