  1. ADVANCING FROM THE BASIC

  2. Welcome to PS3, an eco-friendly sustainable and green community. • Our community was planned with the expert assistance of environmentalists, green architects, scientists, financial advisors and lawyers. Life in this community facilitates the most green living possible. • This project is an introduction to our sustainable ideas and ways of living. • Residents of our city are given the opportunity to use every unused piece of land that they own to grow a variety of common house plants and legumes.

  3. It involves terrace farming, bottle gardening and a variety of other entertaining and useful techniques. We call this ‘space farming’. • It does not use any unwarranted chemicals. The residents are highly satisfied that our city offers them opportunities to be self-sufficient. • The entire practice is cost efficient, hygienic and makes for a fantastic hobby. Moreover, the manure from the community compost pits is used in these gardens efficiently. • In this world of fast moving technology and scientific inventions, the need of technology is mandatory for human sustenance.

  4. PS3 optimises the developments that technology has undergone and promotes use of environmentally sustainable technology. • PS3 uses technology to the fullest extent in eco-friendly ideas and innovations. • Street lights in PS3 are activated by movement sensors in the night so as to save energy when the streets are not in use. • PS3 encourages the use of clay refrigerators, which do not consume any energy and can still keep food fresh for five days.

  5. The sale of washing machines that are operated by cycles has been on the rise in PS3 because residents have been made aware of the reduction in energy consumption after its regular usage, and it is also an effective and fun way to a healthy body! • The buildings in PS3 are constructed in the smartest way possible, according to the physical and geological conditions of the locality. • Wind direction, temperature, ability of UV radiation to enter, and other such factors are kept in mind while designing these buildings. • PS3 has developed a smart way of utilising web services in day to day life.

  6. Every manufacturer and producer of goods is supplied with a laptop with internet connection, and is required to maintain an online database of the goods that he manufactures and their availability. • Consumers can now place online orders as quickly as ever, thus eliminating the need for middlemen and again, reducing cost of transportation, warehousing, and saving on fuel and energy. • Cycling is actively encouraged in PS3. Regular cyclists are given attractive incentives like free life insurance, reduction in taxes payable, separate pathway for cyclists etc. • Sanitation is the next element that PS3 has made progress in beyond the basic 3’s. PS3 encourages use of compost pits, vermi compost and the manure from these pits is used in the organic gardens of the city.

  7. The city corporation has awarded PS3 for its most innovative idea, which has been implemented on a large scale in PS3, its excellent drainage mechanism. • Water that is used for bathing is collected to be effectively reused for toilet flushes. Assuming an average family of four, each flush requires 6 L. And each person who bathes consumes 50 L of water. The household thus uses 200 L of water a day. • If this water can be recycled efficiently, by diverting bath water to the flush, the family will sustain for almost 10 days without having to use fresh water for the flush, for every day the family takes a bath. 24 litres a day Is saved in the process of flushing, per family, then that family 720 litres a month and 8640 litres per year , and that is just WOW.

  8. How it was all done the 3 d modeling of our dream city was done using revit architecture 2014 software and rendered with cloud software. the elements shown in the digital model can be replicated anywhere to any scale. elements such as motion sensor street lights, bicycles and bicycle racks, garbage bin for every household - organic and inorganic, where the organic waste would go into the vermiculture plant/ compost plant right next to the garbage bin. terrace gardening has also been highlighted. plants which require water once in four days can cultivated. spaces such as balconies and intermediary spaces between the buildings could also be used for the same.  the manure from the vermicompost plant can be used for this where the methane generated from the vermicompost pit can be directed to the kitchen using pipelines/ducts for the generation of gas which saves lpg and a lot of money.
