  1. St. Ann Catholic Church Community Weekend/Ministry Fair September 28th 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. September 29th 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  2. “Within Parish” Ministry Programs

  3. The St. Ann Adult Religious Enrichment Committee is part of the Faith Formation ministry of the parish. The Committee coordinates speakers, video speakers, and directions on relevant religious topics. Programs are most often on Monday evenings; some are offered during the day.  The goal of these activities are to improve the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith among adults. • Activity: Committee arranges four or five talks held Monday evenings in the Fall and Spring on an annual theme. • Volunteers: Over 18. • Time commitment: 5-7 committee meetings/year about 1 hour each. • Contact: Marie Powell – Phone: 703-528-7313 or Email:  powellmarie@verizon.net Adult Religious Enrichment Committee (AREC).

Activity: Serve at Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses • Volunteers: Youths in 4th grade and up. • Time Commitment: Attend periodic training sessions; serve on rotating basis. • Contact: English Masses: Mrs. Judy Karinshak, 703-525-7599, jkarinshak@stann.org; • Spanish Masses: Ovidio Herrera, oherrera1970@gmail.com Altar Servers.

Activity: Donate blood for use in our Northern Virginia community. • Volunteers: 16 and up, at least 110 lbs. and in good health. • Time Commitment: By appointment or drop in during Fall and Spring drives held on Sundays in the lower level of the Church. • Contact: Maria Shirron, 703-243-6787, mshirron@yahoo.com Blood Drive.

  6. Activity: Lead a celebration of the Word in the chapel for children who have not yet received First Communion. • Volunteers: Young Adult, Adult, Seniors • Time Commitment: Prepare and conduct during the 9 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Sunday Masses on a rotating basis. • Contact: Amy Strickland, Faith Formation office, 703-528-6199, stannreled@stann.org Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

  7. Activity: Host Coffee and Doughnuts following Sunday morning Masses. • Volunteers: Family, Young Adult, Adult, Seniors • Time Commitment: Scheduled Sunday mornings every 4-6 month for 5 hours. • Contact: Denise Kfoury, 703-356-3165 (preferred), fhorner@cox.net Coffee and Doughnuts.

  8. Activity: Focus is on spiritual enrichment, charitable projects, and fellowship. • Open to: Catholic women ages 18 and older. • Time Commitment: First Saturday of the Month, September to June, 10 am to 12 Noon (not required to attend every month). • Contact:CDA1872@gmail.com • Book Club: Book discussions with religious and spiritual focus. Led by Catholic Daughters. • Open to: all adults. • Time Commitment: Dates vary, Saturday mornings a few times per year. Attend as you wish. • Movie Showings: Organized by Catholic Daughters. Activity: Be present for Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel • Volunteers: All ages • Time Commitment: A few minutes or one chosen hour on Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon; or as an occasional substitute; or on a drop-in basis.   14. Activity: Administer Holy Communion to Catholic patients, and provide prayer and spiritual support to Catholic, and on occasion to other Christian and non-Christian patients, at Capital Caring's Halquist Inpatient Center, 4715 15th St. N., Arlington, VA. • Volunteers: Adult • Time Commitment: 1.5 to 2.5 hours, one or two times per month. • Contact: Michael Landrigan, MikeL545@verizon.net; or phone: 703, 524-5625.   16. Activity: CYO organizes adult-supervised athletics for children in grades 3-8 to help children develop teamwork, individual skills, and sportsmanship.   29. The Outreach Committee coordinates, initiates and supports the following social ministry programs in the Parish.   31. Activity: Care of Church and Chapel altars. Volunteers serve in rotating pairs. Volunteers: Adult; plus families during seasons below. • Time Commitment: 60-90 minutes/week for one month/year.   35. Music Ministries Vocalists and instrumentalists of all ages serve at Mass, and other services, including holy days and holidays

  41. Activity: Faith formation opportunities for adults, teenagers and children, as well as sacramental preparation (Baptism, Penance, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation) for parents and children. Volunteers serve as mentors, catechists, group leaders and coordinators for various programs, including Infant Baptism, Religious Education classes (Gr.   44. Activity: An active school for Preschool through Grade 8; a community of families and professionals bound together in Faith and service.   46. Scouting The Parish has a long tradition of scouting since 1949. Volunteer adults mentor boys and girls of the St. Ann community.
