  1. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan For A Clean And Green India The Government of India started the Clean India Mission to address India's sanitation and waste management challenges by maintaining hygiene throughout the country. By 2019, the project's main purpose is to provide everyone with sanitary amenities and supply a toilet to every rural family. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a direct link between India's economic health and its cleanliness. Many people have been employed as a result of this mission swachh bharat abhiyan, which has also contributed to GDP growth and lowered healthcare costs to some extent. The country's tourism and foreign interests are inextricably linked to cleanliness. Increased tourism will result in increased revenue. It is critical for India to demonstrate excellent levels of hygiene and cleanliness to transform the global impression of our country by swachh bharat gramin for rural area and swachh bharat mission urban for urban locality. India has the world's second-largest population. The government of India's major social endeavour to enhance sanitary standards is this aim. The effort has aided in the clean-up of streets, roads, and infrastructure in numerous Indian cities, small towns, and rural areas. Open defecation has been reduced, and the installation of household and community- owned toilets has been promoted, thanks to high-level advocacy. As a result, the country's sanitation and hygiene levels have improved. Although the situation has improved, much more has to be done in terms of sanitation and hygiene. Inadequate handwashing, unsafe drinking water, and lack of access to sufficient sanitation facilities are all major causes of childhood disease and death around the world. Diarrhoea is responsible for 11% of all infant fatalities worldwide, despite the fact that it is avoidable. The World Bank has agreed to provide financial and technical assistance to this initiative. As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, several corporations and private organisations have been encouraged to join the movement. The movement has also attracted many non-profit organisations. Save the Children is one such organisation that emphasises the significance of good community hygiene to keep children safe from preventable diseases. As a result, as part of our Water, Sanitation, and Hygienic (WASH) initiative, we are working in numerous Indian states to enhance the hygiene status of children and their communities.
