Funded by the Department of Labor, the Gateway Project is a national program designed to increase community access to jobs in the healthcare industry through on-line career exploration  Development of 2 FREE tools: Job Seekers Guide - online career management tool customized specific to a geographical area Virtual Career Network (VCN) - an interactive/online vocational resource tool for individuals exploring careers in the healthcare industry Community Outreach & Recruitment -JVS affiliates will “spread the word” in preparation for the VCN, computer accessibility, & training on the use of the online guide

Developed by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and its many partners • Online agent for jobseekers and career changers looking to enter the healthcare field • Explore over 80 healthcare occupations • 11 require less than one-year of education • 37 require a two-year degree • Assess interest, aptitude and readiness to pursue healthcare training and education • National and local information about healthcare careers/jobs
