CH5 PREVIEW: • Read directions, write, and complete questions from Preview section of the Notebook Guide. The image can be found on page 46. • Make sure you complete steps 1(questions/answers), 2(create circle graph), and 3(annotate graph). PREVIEW GRAPH DISCUSSION: • 2/5 of colonists were Patriots, they believed they should be immediately freed from British rule and law. Some Patriots are helping to pull down the statue or cheering. • 1/5 of colonists were Loyalists, felt British law must be obeyed. Some Loyalists appear “troubled” by what is happening on the right. • 2/5 of colonists were Moderates, felt colonies and Britain must work together to solve the problems. Moderates are not clearly seen, but could have been at the event.
